GordonDerr was instrumental in the environment review and permitting process for the redevelopment of Tacoma Housing Authority's Salishan Community in Tacoma. A Housing Cooperation Law development agreement modified infrastructure, zoning, and subdivision design regulations and review procedures to facilitate redevelopment of the existing public housing project. The first phase of development, including some 450 public and market-rate housing units, was completed in 2006 and the first part of Phase 2 opened in 2009.
