GordonDerr developed an entitlements strategy for transforming Greenbridge, a distressed King County Housing Authority project, into a new mixed-use, mixed-income community. A demonstration ordinance encouraged modifications to development standards, under the Hope VI program, that favored quality urban design, fish-friendly storm water management and environmental protection. Review of the permit applications was expedited through a Memorandum of Understanding between King County and the Housing Authority.
